Abua Oshen holds a Master of Science in Architecture from the University of Nigeria and a Post Graduate Diploma in Engineering with specialization in Project and Construction Management from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg.

His love for architecture stems from an innate desire to use architecture as a means to effect social change and influence human behavior. His postgraduate thesis simulated the design of a water transport terminal connecting coastal communities to the mainland in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria.

Abua’s experience before joining LGA was gained practicing in Nigeria and South Africa with CAP Consultants and FAÇADE design, respectively. At these firms he worked on a broad range of projects, including single and multi-unit residences, a municipal urban renewal project and a stadium for the 2010 World Cup.

Since joining LGA, Abua has developed a keen interest in building science and has been involved in re-cladding and renovation projects for the Toronto Community Housing Corporation. In his spare time, Abua is a cycling and public speaking enthusiast.
