Christie Pearson is a licensed architect and holds professional degrees from the University of Waterloo and Cornell University. She worked at Oleson Worland Architects for many years, before living in Tokyo for two, and then joining LGA in 2001. Christie is interested in buildings that have a civic face and function. She enjoys working on projects that engage public space, both indoors and out, including installations and events that draw on world cultures of public bathing. Christie is a teacher, collaborator and frequent guest critic and lecturer at the University of Toronto, Ryerson and OCAD Universities. She is a founding member of performance and installation groups such as Thewaves, Urbanvessel and The Wade Collective, and of the journal Scapegoat: Landscape Architecture Political Economy.
