Cynthia obtained her Masters of Architecture from the University of Toronto in 2006 and is a licensed Architect. Since leaving Toronto to move back to Edmonton in 2012 Cynthia has enjoyed the warmth, the openness, and the "can do" spirit of the west. She has returned to her birth province of Alberta to head up LGA West, having worked in the Toronto office from 2005 to 2012.

Cynthia enjoys working closely with clients to ensure she fully understands every issue and point of view. Building strong relationships through synergistic collaboration is the way that Cynthia likes to work. Her favourite projects are those that serve and shape a community. Her love of communal space can be seen in the public libraries, community centres, education and housing projects that she has worked on. Good design, not just in architecture, but in our overall environment and communities, is of the utmost importance to Cynthia. She strongly believes that what is universally inspiring and enduring is what forms the basis for a lasting and sustainable future.

Cynthia loves to be an active part of the community and is currently involved with several arts and community groups in Edmonton. She is a member of the Edmonton Arts Council Public Art Committee, Co-chair of design interventions at MADE: Media Art and Design Edmonton, member of the Infill Development Edmonton Association and a member of the Building Committee for the Canadian Native Friendship Center.
