Partner Janna Levitt co-founded LGA in 1989. She actively engages her clients and community members in conversations about design, introducing unique and inspiring ideas, while creating synergies between people and places. Janna leads a number of the firm's arts, institutional and educational projects, and leads the firm's communications team. Her active role in the broader cultural community allows her to bring a rich, contextual perspective to her work.

Janna genuinely loves the art and craft of architecture, and its potential to make a better, more beautiful world and solve real problems. She approaches project-specific challenges as an opportunities to innovate and has a great capacity to listen, learn and empathize with her client's needs.

For years, Janna has been immersed in the research of bio-diverse landscapes to support pollinators and urban agriculture. She is a founding member of Cape Farewell - North America, an international art foundation dedicated to raising awareness of climate change as a cultural issue. Janna sits on the board of a number of cultural institutions, including the Steering Committee for the Architecture Pavilion at the Venice Biennale, the board of Factory Theatre and the Canadian Architectural Certification Board. She is also a mentor for Arts Build Ontario and an adjunct professor at both Dalhousie University and Waterloo University.
