“LGA brought innovative and creative solutions to a challenging addition and interior renovation which added 20,000 sf and 200 new Grade 7 and 8 students to an existing 32,000-sf K-6 school (Avenue Road Public School). In addition to the new classrooms, LGA doubled the size of the existing gym and library to accommodate the increased student population. They also reconfigured the administrative area to allow for additional office personnel and a new VP position.
The renovation at Avenue Road Public School nearly doubled the size of the school. LGA’s designs are efficient and cost-effective, while meeting the needs of the Educators and Facility Managers, as well as being architecturally pleasing. They were able to manage the budget and schedule and provided experience shepherding the plans through SPA and building permit process.”

“LGA was very engaging during the design process and offered creative solutions to the concerns of the stakeholders that furthered the goals of the project. I believe that their high-quality design work can also be attributed to their willingness to listen and careful attention to detail. The entire team was well-coordinated, and their efficiency resulted in a low number of change orders during the time of construction, none of which were costly. They responded and resolved issues that arose in a timely and effective manner. The consultant team was also skillful at negotiating with the contractor with regards to pricing and provided solutions to achieving design goals in the most cost-effective way.”
Jenny Hung Project Supervisor, Capital Development, Toronto District School Board
“We were extremely pleased with the level of commitment that LGA brought to the design process, the contract documents and to the construction phases. The energy they brought to the design and the creative way in which they realized the goals of our stakeholders was exemplary. They are also very good listeners and I believe that their high-quality design work is, in part, due to this attribute.
The work of the team as a whole was well coordinated and this resulted in a low number of change orders during construction, none of which stand out as having a large price associated…. The consultant team was very adept at negotiating with the contractor with respect to pricing and sought to work out cost-effective ways in which the design goals could be met.”
