Max is passionate about designing sustainable buildings and spaces of all types and scales that foster social inclusion. A graduate of the Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design at the University of Toronto, Max has a multidisciplinary background in Human Geography (BA, Queen's University) and Fine Art Photography (BFA, Concordia University).
He brings a strong foundation in adaptive reuse, design, and community consultation principles to his work at LGA. Prior to joining the firm in 2018, Max gained experience in heritage restoration at ERA Architects, contributing to a wide variety of project types, scales, and phases, including leading a team in the adaptive reuse of a barn that was converted into a high-performance micro-brewery.
Max’s formative experiences working as a construction labourer for a small design-build company guide his pragmatic approach to construction (and a love for classic rock radio), while his practice as a photographer and artist influences how he approaches composition, light, and material in architectural design.
